Batch Wonders 5.0 has been released!
Batch Wonders helps you to create and use classes by triggering the wizard. You define a model and specify the target language. The model is a set of columns and a pattern. The pattern is a string composed of pairs of characters. The target language is the language of the imports.
In Batch Wonders you can use a wizard or a template editor to create class files.
You can make each class independent of any other, so that it is reusable.

RPitch

Some might say that the most often-used metronome is called the Jitch. But it’s not—
you’ll find it’s the JAWS metronome. Use the JAWS metronome to prime your ear for the relative pitch training exercises, and then use RPitch.
RPitch’s first attempt at training you in relative pitch was originally conceived to be a language-independent method of learning a new language. It was more of a thinking exercise in understanding how a brain interprets information rather than a method of learning a language.
As a result, you could use it to train in any language, with almost any music notation, and still find success. It was a rather difficult program, with an awful interface, but it worked. So to help the listeners with a new look at learning relative pitch with JAWS, I decided to re-work it into a more user-friendly program.
The program now only works on EAS Main Files, and also has been updated to play notes in quadruplets to simulate piano keystrokes. This allows the user to hear all four pitches in one note to give a more holistic feel.
And if the notes are in a notation other than EAS, they can be as easily converted to EAS notes with a small number of lines of code.

It was the year 2010, I did my first programming course, a small assignment to write a hello world program. That was a fun process and for years I had been looking forward to trying my hand at programming.

I had decided on a fun asp.net MVC application to write and began my journey. I was mostly following blogs and later started working on a small forum as my first ever project.

I got some feedback, and I started posting my code on CodeProject, which my then contact for the web, Naimash, stated “This guy is good, we should offer to sponsor him”, and he was indeed correct.

I started work on my first fulltime job.

Soon, that hobby caught on and with a little bit of help from a few others in the blogging world,

RPitch PC/Windows

RPitch has an intuitive interface, low CPU and memory usage, and can be used in a variety of interesting ways. For example, you can practice hearing intervals and chord progressions.

RPitch is a small, handy feature-rich relative pitch ear training application. It’s written in Java and uses the javax.sound.midi API to generate MIDI audio.
“Relative pitch” is the ability to recognize and name an interval (the distance between two musical notes) simply by hearing it. Unlike perfect pitch, which many claim cannot by acquired through training or practice, most people can attain a reasonably well-developed sense of relative pitch through practice and repeated drills.

What’s New in the RPitch?

– Tones can be played in the form of files or can be loaded from the MIDI file format.
– Tune-able or set into the relative pitch mode in addition to the absolute mode.
– Useful for training the pitch classification and for note recognition by matching the input note.
– There are 8 sounds for training, 4 in each octave.
– Stylistic sounds with multiple pitches.
– Non-distinctive sounds, which has many pitches and trills.
– Can be used as a ringtone.
– Can be used as a note-to-keyboard trainer.
Technical specification:
– Using a JMX engine with the MidiEventListener interface.
– Including the javax.sound.midi.note.NoteSequence midi support classes.
– Sound duration is controlled by the user via the /delay key and the Mouse wheel
– The UI is user configurable via the.properties file.
– Uses the JavaSound javax.sound.midi API.
– Uses the JSSE classes to ensure you have a clean SSL connection.
– Uses the MidiSystem class for playback.
– Supports the following key command types for portamento:
— Up
— Up semitone
— Crawl
— Crawl semitone
— Down
— Down semitone
— Up arp
— Up arp semitone
– Has step modes for velocity and time.
– Distinctive sounds for the less familiar pitches.
– Stylistic bells for key signatures.
– Similar to the “Pitch Perfect” app.
Known issues:
– Certain older phones will hang the app and you’ll have to kill it.
– Some notes don’t generate the correct pitch.
– The JSSE class sometimes causes a deadlock for certain phones. This is the result of the relative pitch function not generating output.
– Sometimes pressing the spacebar will not generate output.
